The world’s first large-scale film festival dedicated entirely to Bitcoin culture is back for its third edition — Bitcoin FilmFest 2025. Taking place in the heart of Warsaw, this unique event breaks away from the typical conference format, replacing panel talks and charts with cinema screens and stories that stretch far „beyond the frame“.
A Cultural Celebration of Decentralized Dreams
For four days, the grand halls of Warsaw’s iconic Kinoteka will transform into a sanctuary of cinematic exploration. Documentaries, shorts, dramas, animations, experimental AI films, and full-length features will dive deep into the philosophy, history, and future of Bitcoin. It’s not just about blockchain tech — it’s about the people, the conflicts, the freedom, and the friction.
Among the full release screenings are standout titles like Bitcoin is the Mycelium of Money, Immutable History, Hotel Bitcoin, and Revolución Bitcoin. Works in progress like Satoshi: The Movie and Where Do We Go From Here tease the next wave of narrative innovation powered by decentralization.
The Festival Vibe — Music, Pizza, Workshops & More
Bitcoin FilmFest is more than movies. The experience begins on European Bitcoin Pizza Day, May 22, with open-air concerts, drinks, and DJs celebrating the 15th anniversary of the legendary pizza purchase. Every day offers Good Mornings @ Amondo, with brunches, workshops, and open community stages.
Attendees can enjoy film and Bitcoin workshops, pitch their own movie ideas during Pitching Rabbits for a chance at a €3,000 grant, and dance the night away at afterparties across the city — from Barbazaar to Vistula vibes. Even salsa classes and self-defense workshops are on the schedule.
Introducing the PoWies — Bitcoin Advertisement Awards
In 2025, the festival also launches the inaugural PoWies, the first award ceremony dedicated to Bitcoin advertisement creativity. Because branding and storytelling matter, even in the decentralized world.
Tickets, Access, and Community
Ticket options range from a general admission pass (€100) to the exclusive Producer’s Cut (€250), which includes VIP access, merch, and even producer credits. Remote supporters can join in for €25 via livestream and Video On Demand access.
Why Warsaw? Why Now?
Set in what was once Stalin’s skyscraper — now a cultural epicenter — the choice of Warsaw for BFF is no coincidence. This city bridges old regimes with new freedom, and its Bitcoin community is thriving. Affordable travel (flights from €15!), an electric cultural pulse, and a spirit of resistance make it the perfect host.
Not Just a Festival — A Movement
This isn’t your average crypto meetup. Bitcoin FilmFest 2025 is where new myths are born. It’s a celebration of global narratives, fringe voices, radical ideas, and shared visions of a freer world.
